How can the U.N. adapt to a new reality?
For first thought, I think if you, you know, as you know domestically the way we preserve order in our societies is that we make every citizen a stake holder in the society. You give every citizen a voice. You give every citizen a goal. And that is how you get stability at home.
Why do we create some kind of global democracy and give the 6.5 billion people who live increasing in this small integrated world of voice in the management of global affects. And so what the United States should do is switch as attention from the U.N. Security Council to the U.N. General Assembly and listen to the voices with General Assembly, because if you can persuade the voices of general assembly to a certain course of action then believe me, you can the world with you.
Very seemly, just only persuade the U.N. Security Council, then, you do not persuade the world you are trying to impose the will of the few states on the rest on the rest of the world and that cannot work in the long run.
The most specific recommendation I have is for the American’s to stop seeing Marty Electrolism as a threat to America. Marty Electrolism was an American gift to the world because as you will in 1945 U.N. Charter, the principles, the root, international though, all these with American gift to the world and the world appreciates the virtues of this gift of Marty Electrolism.
Now, the time has come for America to rediscover the virtues of the gift that it shared with the rest of the world. And believe me if America embraces Marty Electrolism, embraces a rules, peace and order globally, it will make Americans and Europeans feels much more secure.
Believe me, you only want to live in a rule spaced order and so, why should the United States of all countries go from Marty Electrolism to Unilateralism in the way there is dances the end of the Cold War? And that was one of the biggest strategic mistakes that the west make at the end of the Cold War.
