Give your kitchen a little spark and romance with some simple staging techniques. Try by
adding a small cocktail table and set a dinner for two. Here I added a table runner, plateware,
apples, champagne glasses, napkins and napkin rings. And to finish, a candlestick and battery
operated candle. Use napkin rings at the end of the table runner to give it that professional
look.
By using items that most of us have in our cupboards, you can create and stage a beautiful
dinner setting. Now let’s focus on the countertops, if you have a big bulky microwave on the
counter, get rid of it. Accessorize the kitchen counter, get creative. Here I’m adding a plate
holder and a recipe book, flip through until you find something you like. Shrimp, that sounds
good. Play a little of the seafood theme, I added a salt and pepper shaker and a lobster butter
warmer.
You can even make it look real by putting a battery operated candle in sight. To bring the
outside in, add a plate of fruit. Try this technique on the hand towel, just fold and insert a
napkin ring to give it a professional look. Here’s an easy way to make your own decorative
canister, here we’re using kidney beans, pinto beans and black beans for contrast. Start by
pouring in the first layer, shake in between to level out and we’re adding the black beans,
shaking it again.
Add the red kidney beans, shake and cover. For contrast, use different types and colors of
