Now here we have got a situation where the defender has been knocked to fall and tripped, stumbled to his knees, okay. This is a technique that often has to deal with a Door Supervisor or Security staff in general, okay. Now obviously if you have fall in there and there is a fight going on, and somebody is trying to attack you, the situation is going to be this, somebody is going to be throwing kicks in towards you. So the kicks are going to be coming in, you want to do exactly what Doug (ph) is doing here, just block with the forearms. Just throw in those arms at and stop in that leg coming in, okay.
If you are arms aren't conditioned to taking those kicks, it's going to smart a little, but its better than blocking the kick with your face, I think you all agree. And believe me, if his legs aren't conditioned to taking those arms being rammed against them, it's going to hurt him just as much as you, if not more, okay.
So the kicks are coming in, you are stopping them with your arms, okay. You might have to take two or three, may be more, shots like that on the arms, okay. But once you have done that, this is the situation that you want. One arm is still in front of the leg, so that’s going to stop it, if you miss with the other hand. From here this hand is right below the knee-cap, the patella, okay. It’s forcing that up. This hand is pulling back of the ankle upwards, okay and it's locking that leg out. That's what you want, you want that leg locked out.
As soon as you have got that, you start getting to your feet. Standing up, keeping hold of that leg, keeping it locked out and you can see that the effect it has. Again, gravity is working for you, your attacker is going to be off balanced, you are keeping that leg locked out, until it hit the floor. As soon as that hit the floor you can release the leg, put a stopping shot in, make sure they are staying down and get up and away, carry on, okay. And he is away.
Okay, just move through it again. So you are defending from the knees, okay, the kicks are coming in, stop them, stop a few of them, get your all in. Get that lock, pull that leg up and you are pulling the ankle up. Locking the knee out, taking him up and over. And putting the stopping shot in and make sure they are staying down, okay, while you get away. So the one hand is grabbing the back of the ankle, the other leg is locking the knee out, pushing out patella upwards, okay, get up and get away.
Okay, once more, it blocks and going at, stopping those kicks coming in, lock the leg out, okay, get him over, get him down, finish him off and get away and it's how to defend yourself against a kick, when you are kneeling on the floor.
