Lacrosse Ground Ball Wall Drill

Good drill for youth players and beginners to work on ground balls. You can use the wall. Rather player can either have the ball in their stick and roll it along the ground, so it hits the wall or coach can stand next to them and roll it for them.

Basically, I am just going to roll the ball out, roll it against the ground. Then as it comes back, we get in a good scooping position. I get my knees bend, chest over my stick, get the head of my stick down and as the ball comes I scoop through it and right through. Noticed that I am switching hands every time to roll the ball. Let's try a little bit easier for them. Then throwing it left handed, having it come from behind them. They didn't have to roll it right in front. That's ground balls using the wall.
