For my money, the most interesting car of the show, probably the most excited car is the Lamborghini Estoque. The much anticipated four-door Lamborghini. Totally designed in-house, probably the biggest of the problem was trying to balance the aggression with the elegance.
You don't want too much elegance, not too aggressive. Did a really great job I think, really it looks like a Lamborghini from all angles, the car rides on 22 inch tires at front, 23 rear, has a Lamborghini Gallardo version's V10 under the hood.
I have just sit to feet under this low hood in the front. It is a front mid engine, so it's really behind the front axle for good weight distribution and the whole car is technically feasible. They have done all of the engineering work for that.
So what you see here is conceivable to be built as if chose and I for one would love to see that. The very high beltline gives you a very hunkered down and a sports car field in the front and the back. The high rear-end gives you 16 cubic feet of luggage in the back, so high style, grand touring, with room for all your stuff.
Obviously, Lamborghini Estoque is going to be compared with the Aston Martin Rapide, and the Porsche Panamera, the other high-end sports cars making four doors.
Now this one is about the length of the Rapide, little bit wider, a little bit taller, but seven inches longer than the Panamera. The front-end has a very much of a feel of the Reventón version with the big aggressive intakes to point out that the engine is under the front.
We have got functional air scoops in the hood, the Y pattern LED lights are a very big Lamborghini cue these days too. The extractors and the fenders also will be functional, carbon ceramic brakes upfront and rear promise excellent braking to go along with the 500 plus horsepower V10 power.
You might ask why you do a four door Lamborghini, and it is a good question, but the brand has been the resurged off late, and they have promised to have a new vehicle every year and this one is one that they reckon can expand their brand, by about doubling sales, by another 2000 easy year, so obviously if that works out, it will be a great idea for Lamborghini.
