Now the reason why I’m putting this arrow here Bob, because with the house looking like this in ten years, however long you’ve lived here, that you need some directions.
Hi! I’m Andy Robinson, the Landscape Renovator. We’re back to the design studio. Yes, we’re still working on Bob’s project here. I told you this thing is going to need a lot of help. One of the things we haven’t talk about yet was the driveway and the front walkway. Bob wants to have 2 cars on his driveway, which is going to make it 18 to 20 foot wide. One of the things we don’t want to do is to make it like a parking lot in the front yard. Now we’re are going to brick because it’s a little softer texture. Concrete may be a little bit too white, being 18 to 20 foot wide in front of his house.
Now we’re going to the walkway. So the front, there’s going to be a step here, but there’s going to be no step here. So what we’re going to do is we will be going to take the pattern here. This nice circular pattern that creates a nice sense of arrival here, with this great big landing. And what we’ve done is to narrow it down the walkway. So this is probably 3, 3-1/2- foot wide here. And then we open it up to the driveway so you have a good feeling coming up to the front door here. And then of course, we got the existing concrete apron that has to be left in because of the city. And what we’ve done is we brick the rest of the driveway. What we’ve done here is we brought a nice little curve down here for softness. Because when the car is driving here it doesn’t really need to be squared off. So this is really going to accent the circular areas that we have in the front of the parking lot leading to the walkway.
That’s another great Landscape Renovator tip because remember great yard don’t grow on trees that’s why you need the Landscape Renovator.
