I would like to add a couple things.
First, anyone attempting to dismantle a LiIon battery pack needs to be aware of the dangers associated with LiIon cells. When overcharged or used improperly, they can overheat, leak acid and toxic fumes, and even explode. Laptop batteries have several levels of protection including voltage, current, and thermal sensors.
LiIon cells should never be charged above 4.2V, I don't know why these cells were at 4.83V, but it's not safe to charge them that high.
Also, it is generally a bad idea to remove the cover from the cells, since the metal casing is a terminal, and it could cause a short circuit if used in a metal device.
