Female 1: With the unemployment rate at an all time high we’re all looking for ways to supplement our income. We caught up with Mark, the beauty and fashion boutique brand and Mark’s spokesperson Lauren Conrad for some tips on how you can make your mark in the world and become a young entrepreneur.
Lynne Thompson: Each star reps got to fly to New York to get primped and pampered and star in a Mark campaign video shoot. What else? Meet Lauren Conrad who knows a thing or two about making her mark.
Lauren Conrad: As entrepreneurs understand all the hardword and dedication it takes when you're trying to build a business and build a brand. It’s great the Mark has made it so available to that. Being a Mark rep is a total opportunity where you get back what you put in. Me and my friends are always talking about I got this new eyeshadow or this lipgloss that I really like and when you're a Mark rep you're always talking about your favorite products but you also have the opportunity to sell them to your friends as well.
Female 3: I went to being a rep to living and working and working in New York City and going to LA to fashion week and getting little incentives.
Female 3: I've had the opportunity to build my resume in more ways that I could have ever imagined at the age of 21 being a junior in college. I've learned some new business skills, entrepreneurial skills, organizational skills and things that I just feel like I already have a huge head start before I get into the real world.
Lynne Thompson: How much can you make? Well that depends on you. You're your boss you make your own schedule and get 40% commission on beauty product sales and 25% on fashion.

Lauren Conrad: My little sister Brana is Mark rep and she has her own e-boutique and you can go at 24/7 so if I'm ever running low or if I run out of one of my hook ups or eyeshadow or something I can log on there and I can order it and it’s really cool because it get ship directly to me and then she earns money from it.
