Hello everyone! I want to do quickly the solo for thunderstruck and then the rest will follow in another tutorial. I want to do the solo because to me right now, it is the most interesting thing to uncover. I am not sure whether I do it 100% accurate but I can tell you for sure that I have been working on it. So, let us begin to see it right now. It is in the key of B it begins up here. This is the ninth fret, I am touching the G and B string on the ninth fret, and it is going.
I hear there is more than a single string here. It could be another guitar part underneath and it could be just like this. Let us see the main thing on how it goes and then maybe I will add more strings in frequencies right after. This was played low. Now, I hear more things. I might be wrong but when you do this, there is more than a single string to me. Even here, instead of simply going back to the E, I hear something like that. And then, I hear some guys doing this. But to me, instead of classic pentatonic thing and maybe even bending a bit, to me, he gets to the major notes right away. And not only that but to me, there is all some kind of typical rock and roll Angus Young kind of thing which is this. That is more than one string simultaneously.
Now, I probably exaggerated right there. There is not so much of that but just letting you understand the thing. Now, to me, he is going back down here. I know that live E stays up here. He does something like that or going up here. But from the sound of the string and this little thing, pull up, that I think he does in the original recording. Now this is the thing, he always uses that kind of thing so why not here. Typical thing, blues thing, Angus Young thing. To me, he will bend there. It is the same note that he will pick up to these three times. And back to the chorus. So, let us try and do this whole thing together.
That was another thing and seems I am on the subject and I am going pretty fast. The actual thing sounds very clean to me so I am putting it like this. I do not know back down here to three probably or four of course. I am not sure. He might be for that part alone be playing that full ten but different amp steady so it is going to sound clean. He is fully bright up here with the volume knob being up at full ten. We do not know that and since I am using the same amp setting for several parts, this is how it is and you know that I obtain my different drive thing. I simply bring it up or down deep in one on the effect that we want. And so it sounds pretty clean to me and I have seen he is in going up and down right here. Of course you know it is not that easy folks. I mean it is evidenced that he is speaking every single thing and it is a lot more difficult to do that way in that speed and with that kind of precision. That was just a loop of something.
Now, for the rhythm part, I am going to go and run to the office. But, thanks for watching.
