Elite Model Management Cristina Dehart: Hi. I am in the Elite Modeling Agency and I am about to speak with you with Hamil and he is going to give us so much great information for aspiring models. This is an absolutely wonderful agency. It is so sought after by any aspiring model with offices in every country in the entire world. So, I am so excited to be here and just take a look. Cristina: I so appreciate with you sitting down with me today. Neal Hamil: It is a pleasure. Cristina: And tell me more about the Elite agency. I mean we all know about it but I (voice overlap). Neal: Right, it is one of the branch, the mega branch. It is the most famous agency for sure. Someone recently did a study and 60+% of the people living on the planet earth have heard of Elite and associate it with the model agency and I find that to be mind boggling. It is like McDonalds, you know what I mean, Coca Cola, that sort of name recognition is pretty huge but it has been in business 32 years. Cristina: And who are some of the top models that you have represented Neal: Well, at the moment we have the pleasure of having Coco Rocha, Noemi Lenoir, Jessica White, I will miss a few I am sure. Kristy Hinze, who is filming Project Runway Australia right now. Lydia Hearst, who is the Hearst heir. There is Ali Stephens, Alice Burdeu, Jerry Hall, Georgia Jager, Ana Beatriz, oh gosh, I can not remember anymore. Cristina: It is okay, just do the sampling. I mean just the once you have mentioned are huge and great. Neal: They are—you know, I look at it is a little different with, I think with some people and that is, I always look at my role as being very honored that someone would put their career in our hands. I think it is a privilege. I think it is an honor. I think it is something to take very seriously and you know these girls are not, they are not punching a game and they are not to be played with and to what I mean, this is serious. Again, you know it is a big responsibility. It is an honor to represent these young women. But they are young women and they require a lot of big brothering and they have a lot of big brothers here. Cristina: Right, that is great. There were some of the models that, going into the past that have made their name— Neal: Well Giselle started here, Haidee started here, Stephanie Seymore, Naomi Kimball, Linda Evangelista, oh my God, Karen Mulder, Claudia Schiffer, everyone started here. Cristina: So a lot of the big names and a lot of those super models I would say. Neal: Yes, they all begin—they literally all came from Elite, right. Cristina: Well let us talk about these aspiring models because I know every young girl knows the Elite name as we talked about and they all aspire, I am going to be an elite model, like do you represent girls that are already professional models? Neal: Oh yes. We have a really great scouting network and we are very much about finding new talent. Cristina: Okay, girls that have never modeled at all. Neal: I have never done anything, you know modeling schools, not necessarily, you do not need pictures. All you have to do is just get a friend, digitals and email them to our website and we look at every single— Cristina: And simple digital, not a lot of make up— Neal: No make up at all. The hair completely back away from your face straight on profile, body shot and you know, preferably in a swimsuit but it is not necessarily, you know, not the end of the world if it is not. But yes, I mean, all people have to do is just download that email it to elitemodel.com and we look at every single one of those pictures, every single one. That is one person’s job and it is mind boggling how many. Sometimes we get 2,000 in a day, really. Cristina: Wow, and then all sends and email on people sending their digital systems out? Neal: No, they do. We get picture in the mail and from Memorial Day to Labor Day, everyday we seek anyone who wants to come in between three and four, everyday. Cristina: Oh, that is wonderful.
