Judy Torel: It's screws up your mind about it, because when you know the end result, you don't want to work the process. Female Speaker: Judy Torel is a Psychological counselor and personal trainer who brings psychotherapy off the couch and into the gym. Judy Torel: My specialty is helping people to combine the body and the mind together, so that they can be having the most empowering experiences in living their life. Helmut Hirsch: The big thing is that I was willing to risk, just making an open statement. Female Speaker: Helmut Hirsch has tackled his problem while working on his physique for some 10 years. Helmut Hirsch: What Judy does, is to have you talk about something that's the problem in your life while you can't think of dying and then you'll talk about something that is really very sensitive, that you have trouble with. Judy Torel: You would have the dinner I guessing and something that? Helmut Hirsch: Dinner we have. Female Speaker: Torel uses workout therapy to help clients, with a range of issues including addictions, depression, anxiety and relationships. Helmut Hirsch: I think I just let it happen, let it take of course. Judy Torel: And will that be the same answer you would have said six months ago. Helmut Hirsch: Oh no, certainly not. Judy Torel: You have much more of a chance of you know, a click, an insight that might not have occurred, if you are just sitting in a therapy room, just talking passively with, you know in a resting seat. Female Speaker: As for privacy, Torel says if clients aren't comfortable discussing particular issues on the gym floor then head to our office and talk behind close doors. Judy Torel: Say you with consciousness step down to your comfort zone. Female Speaker: Hirsch generally has no problem opening up in the open, what's important he says is that he feels better after each session. Helmut Hirsch: Judy played a big role in helping to live, I think a better, happier life.
