Female Speaker: Transportation is just one of the many extra costs in our lives these days. Every one of us is feeling squeezed and even shocked at the gas pump. Fill ups cost more, getting to work costs more, weekend trips and summer vacations require a much bigger chunk of our budget. And cleaning up the environment will likely have a big price tag too.
Did you know that there are automobile companies that they have anticipated these trends and have built the most advanced technology to address such concerns? It's true that we are troubled by the price of gasoline now and in the future. We are also concerned about climate change and carbon pollutants. And now this is why the hybrid engine, which combines both gas and electric power, has such broad appeal. We also want advanced quality, comfort, and safety in our cars. And as importantly, we want fair pricing. With the strong appreciation of the Canadian dollar, some manufactures have reduced their less prices to Canadian costumers. So, let's take a look at some solutions. Hybrid systems have been developed and refined over the last decade. The clear leader in this space is the Toyota Hybrid Synergy Drive system. This cleaner efficient and powerful hybrid system is in its second generation and has been proven to be a reliable technology. Toyota reports more than a million worldwide hybrid sales in just ten years. The Prius, Camry hybrid and Highlander full hybrid system delivered great fuel efficiency.
And yet, fuel efficiency does not belong only to hybrids. Conventional engines are also more advanced and the most fuel efficiencies are identified with the ecoENERGIE deckle. Automobiles endorsed by the government of Canada eco action initiative are those that rank highest for gas mileage. The cost savings are easy to pinpoint when you compare the data and better still, many of the vehicles are by manufactures that are well known for superior quality.
Here are two fuel efficient passenger vehicles on the eco energy list, which also qualified for government rebates. Prius and Yaris, and when it comes to the fairness and price, some manufactures are doing more than others. Toyota for example, was the first to lower the manufacture's suggested retail price on most of its models. Thus passing on the benefits of a stronger dollar to Canadian consumers, and don't forget, there are government rebates offered on 2008 vehicles, which meet the fuel efficiency threshold. So, be sure to enquire about this with your dealer. Comparison shopping won't give you less to think about when buying a car, but buying the right one will go a long way to relieve your mind. It is indeed possible for example to find everything you want in the way of quality, eco sensitivity and price all in one fabulous package.
