Hi, welcome to WatchMojo.com. I am your host Melissa and today we celebrate Good Friday. It is the Friday before Easter and this is today that the Catholic Church recognizes as the day that Jesus was crucified on the cross. It is observed as a day of fasting and penance and masses are also held during the day. Now during these masses some were all befalling are taking place. The veneration of the cross, the communion using the bread and wine from Holy Thursday, the ringing of the gospel form Saint John and the meditation and prayer of the Stations of the Cross. Now while the day is marked by sad events. We still use the word celebration because it proposed us for the resurrection of Jesus that has to come.
