Amanda Bergen: 98 sheep, 99 sheep. This just isn't working. For many of us, getting a good night sleep is well, just a dream. But it doesn't have to be that way. There is now technology that helps reduce some of that tossing and turning leaving you feeling more rested. And best of all no sheep required.
This headband uses something called soft wave sensor technology, which measures the electrical activity in my brain while I am sleeping, it goes on. It then sends information to a bed side display and tells me how I slept. See, here is my sleep graph and here is a quick synopsis of the quantity, quality and depth of my sleep. There is also something called a zeo Q score. Let's go over, press button to see how did. An 89. Not bad. That's out of a total score of about a 120. It's okay. I can take this memory card and download information onto a web account for further analysis and personalized sleep tips.
Sweet dreams. The Zeo personal sleep coach ranges in price from $249 to about $349. If you are tired, when your alarm goes on, it could be because your sleep cycle has been interrupted. This watch could be the key to waking up feeling refreshed. The trick is to wake up during one of your almost awake moments which is exactly what this watch does. Once you set the alarm, the internal sensors indicate how deeply you are sleeping and then decide the best time to wake you up, based on a time frame of your choosing. So how soundly did I sleep? Let's check the data. Looks like I had a lot of, almost awake moments which means I didn't get a restful snooze. You can also download your sleep history from your watch to your computer. The sleep tracker costs from around a $150 to $180.
If going to sleep, not waking up is your problem, then this download will be music to your ears. The company says it uses beats in its music to simulate brain wave frequencies that happen, when we sleep or even dream. Sound tracks can be customized in length and are supposed to be listened to at the same time each day in order to train your brain to chill out that we all could use. For this personal sleep assistant is available to download for a just under $40.
No please no more sheep. With so much sleep technology available in so many different forms, you might finally get the sleep that you only dreamed off. I am Amanda Bergen with Tech check.
