Next up on the list we’re talking about some of the greatest nicknames ever Joltin Joe of course he served by Jill Carter in the early 90’s but that’s okay the Yankee Clipper of course we are talking about Joe DiMaggio. Now Joe DiMaggio was born on November 25th, 1914 and unfortunately passed away on March 8, 1999 but we’re talking about his birth, we’re not talking about his death we’re talking about the years in between of course.
Joltin Joe DiMaggio arguably one of the greatest Yankees ever, arguably one of the greatest Baseball players ever, his 56-game hitting streak which lasted for well a long time May 15 of the July 16 of I think it was 1941, remember that 41, 56 and 41 that’s how I remember is the pneumonic device probably one of the greatest sports record ever. Joltin Joe DiMaggio also first player to ever win 4 consecutive titles in his first 4 full seasons of baseball, he batted ahead of Lou Gehrig and he was pretty much one of those players that could do everything.
They called him a combination of Babe Ruth, Ty Cobb, and Shoeless Joe Jackson because he can hit, he can feel, he can hit for power, he can hit outer he still did whatever it took to win. He played the game the way it was meant to be played and as if that wasn’t good enough he married Marilyn Monroe. That is why he qualifies as one of our dead athletes with mojo.
