“Soft Corals”, Soft Corals gently need less light than hard corals. For the most part, soft corals are usually hardy quick growing and great for the beginner, cabbage Leader, a fast grower that is available in different colors.
Capnella, comes mostly in red colors but it's very hardy. Colt Coral will grow rapidly and can be fraged quiet easily. It is way bid not colorful or aggressive.
Kenya Tree Coral will take over the whole tank if you don’t trim it, incredible hearty and fast growing. Leathers, Finger Leathers are well named as they look just like their damn safe. They can get quiet large. Leathers often change color and texture to keep algae of their outside layer. Here is the devils hand with it's pull ups extended. They come in all different shapes and sizes. Yellow Tonga leader, if you keep them under halogens they will hold their color and do well. If you put them in any other light they tend to fade and not lay as one.
Nephthea, a quick grower but does not have much color, not a very aggressive coral. Green Sinularia, used to come mostly from a rip that was recently wiped out. Know it is hard to find and expensive but is a beautiful coral.
Star Polyps, grows quickly and comes in many different colors. Here they are in yellow and green.
Toadstools, Sarcophyton Toadstools do very well on all circumstances and grow quickly. Here is one with the base is longer than the other Sarcophyton. It looks different but it is the same species. The Long Polyp Toadstools are attractively shaped. Blond in color. Here is a Toadstools with it's pulps extended.
Xenia, comes in few colors and can be supplemented with iodine to help it grow. I like to wash the spores although we still don’t know exactly what they do. Blue Xenia does not have much blue on it. Xenia can spread quickly in different locations to your tank.
Zoanthids, produce one of the most toxic poisons in the world. Poly toxins, make sure your hands early after handling any zonthids. Although it is deadly if eaten, most fish know not enable on Zoanthids. And Zoanthids usually do no harm in your tank. They come in many beautiful colors and are easy to take care of. If you are allergic to bee sting, beware. I have heard that they can cause strong allergic reactions.
