Hey! Welcome towatchmojo.com. I am your host Melissa and today we are going to look about the religion of Zoroastrianism. Now, that religion, one of us may not be familiar with and that is okay because it is actually pretty small with only approximately 140 thousand members worldwide.
Now, all the members might be small is impact is actually pretty great. Why is that? Well, its impact is such a major religions as Christianity, Buddhism and Islam. All religions, we are very familiar with. Now, its impact to such things as the savior, the resurrection, good versus evil, God and Satan, heaven and hell, and the list goes on.
The religion was found within Persia by a man named Zoroaster and its main holy book is called the Avesta, which actually contains the spoken words of Zoroaster himself. Now, these words organize into a series of hymns called the Gathas. Now, the morality of Zoroastrianism can be summed up in a simple phrase ‘good thoughts, good words and good deeds.’
So there you have it a little introduction to Zoroastrianism.
