Adidas Presents How I Do It with Joba Chamberlain weplay Joba Chamerlain, pitcher, New York Yankees Now I’m going to show you two types of fastballs. Throw a 4-seam, a 4-seam fast ball is a pitch that stays straight a you throw a little harder and it sets up a lot of other pitches. Hold it like this and then if you want to throw a 2-seam fastball you hold it like this, this is how a lot of people throw it different but the pitch is slower and it gets more movement on to get you know maybe a ground ball a double play and you use this to into a guy that can’t hit down the ball down in the end and that’s going to set up a pitch that I throw that I get a lot a strike out on it’s slider decide to throw it across the seams with my thumb under and my fingers across here and you throw, you throw it to the middle of the plate so it goes away from the plates so I think it’s a strike and it spins like a fastball and then it goes out of their back so those are my two best pitches and throw.
