Hey welcome back to the Mr. Excel netcast, I am Bill Jelen. Hey, what do you think about that the new theme? That is like George Wood, it is called Born to Excel, more like we are here in 2009. I made a resolution. We are going to try and start to adopt Excel 2007.
It is been almost two years what the heck. I might as well get use to it and the one thing that I kind just seem silly me is two years later and look down here at the bottom. Sheet one, sheet two, sheet three, everytime I create a new workbook I am getting three sheets that silly. I have turned that off 10 years ago in the old Excel. Why have I turned it off here in Excel 2007?
Well we have Excel 2007, let us go and do that. Want to go to the menu formerly known as file or office icon. Open that and at the very bottom of the dialogue box choose Excel options and the setting, it is so easy. It is right here on the very first half called include this menu sheets. Let us go ahead and kick that back to one and you are good to go.
You can also decide if you want to change a different font size. Bottom font is this new virtual font. It is a font that assigned to the theme and so I am really a Times New Roman kind of guy, I am going to go ahead and leave it as Body Font right and going to Times New Roman. In that way if I change the theme, the fonts will automatically change. That is your preferences, whichever you want to do. So click ‘okay’ as quick and restart Microsoft Excel. is that not silly? Okay. I am sure when I restart Excel and then I use the new icon, we will inherit workbooks with just one sheet. And of course now, it is easier than ever to create new worksheets. You do not have to go to insert worksheet just click this new worksheet icon down here as the right most half and you will get a new sheets very easily without having to worry about finding it on the insert menu which by the way it is not on the insert menu, it is on the home and then insert an insert sheet. Much easier just to use the brand new worksheet icon down at the bottom of Excel 2007.
All right, I want to thank you for stopping by. I will see you next time for another netcast from Mr. Excel.
