We are going to focus right now on the pitcher releasing the ball. As the ball is released, the batter will get into a position. We would like to see him in “Eyes Bathead Ball” Position.
Eye bathead ball, this is what we are referring to. We are watching the ball upon release from all the way to bat head. I am extending my arms. My arms are in a V, my eyes are on the bathead as I watch the ball hit the bathead. Eyes-bathead ball.
So, here comes the pitch. I am trying to pick up the seams. I am trying to pick up whatever I can right on the ball as much as I possibly can. I am following the ball right into the zone. I am going to step a little bit or just pick up my foot and set it down, and I am going to bring my hands right here, eyes bathead ball.
Right here, eyes bathead ball. My swing is from shoulder to shoulder. Shoulder to shoulder, and as you notice, after I hit the ball, my eyes are still right down here.

We are going to talk about the bottom half of our body when we swing the bat. Again, our weight is going to be back on our back foot, back leg, front foot slightly open. We are going to be on the ball of our foot. This will enable us to pivot or squash the bug, as you can see here.
If you think in terms of a triangle, your belt buckle, your two knees, you should be taking a picture of the ball as it is coming in. So, we are going to pivot. These generates a lot of bat speed, a lot of power right here.
