The first station that I will be discussing is called the “Tee Station”. The Tee Station is used from youth baseball all the way up to the Major Leagues. The purpose of this drill is to concentrate and to focus in all the elements of hitting.
What we are looking for here on the Tee is that the player assumes their stance just like they learned, shoulder width apart, bending from the shoulders to the knees, their hands at back and the focus of the Tee Station is that their head is down on the ball. They take that trigger, the trigger step, and their head is down on the ball.
So, once again, the purpose of the Tee Station is to focus on the ball and that the player’s head remains down on the ball when making contact.
