Learn How to Cut Your Hair Faper Style - Part 1
How you doing? Donald Connelly, I’m known in my barber community as DC The
Barber.
In The Cut
I got some uniformity as I go over to the hair is that I previously touched on. I like to
smooth it out there just to see at this level the blade will give me especially important
with clients if you don’t know what you’re going to get when you cut the hair. It’s best to
go ahead and go with the gray before. That way you don’t surprise yourself or your
client, again for going in with the flat lifting motion. As I get closer to the ears I stay a
little tighter you want all of that removed. It shouldn’t affect right here you see the lines.
You want to remove those we just chisel down.
Always stretch the skin and start to see a nice graduation here. Back in here we don’t
really with the 3-1/2. We want to go a little bit lower, go lower in your cutting; you want
to match it up with 3-1/4 but not as high. Of course raising the height of your taper and
shortening your client’s hair and not giving him the desired look. Comb and cut, comb
and cut. I’m still stretching the skin so I’m using my comb now. Comb it flat. It’s not
uncomfortable in your client that keeps you in control at all times repeat the steps that
you did on the left side and on the right.
Switch into the number 2 blade. Do the same the process but just a little lower fill up the
dark areas and go back to this area now except my clip are just a little more. No lines.
I’m stretching the skin there where it slightly get up in this area here I stretch and pull
them down just a little bit. Now we switch up clippers and I utilize my Phat Masters.
These clippers go from a number 2 when opened which is the last blade we ended with.
2-1/8 so same with these 2 we just start what we finish last clipper for our tubes just come
in and the master’s is lot slower but it will give you a lot more precision cut. Phat Masters
are for the longer hair even for a diverse cutting straighter hair, clients with curly hair,
works wonders.
I’m closing it actually to the 1/8 position just completely closed. Let’s just see what he
gives me open up a little bit and get the sort strokes. When you see I’m rocking the
clipper.
I’m starting again with the number 2 Phat Master completely open, close, mid close,
closed completely, rocking again.
Take the number 2 the last thing I’m going to use a Phat Master I’m going to close it and
I’m going to move on to his neck. Flicking a clipper fast enough again for the new lines
in his hair at the lower portion as well, open it until just completely open.
I’ll be switching to Fade Master from our Phat Master to our Fade Master. This clipper
goes from a number one slightly short in the number one being the Fade Master and then
Number one to 3i meaning cut it very close now so I can really want to stare. You can use
your Fade Master to start some of the edge ups.
