This is the chair follow-through drill. Each of the drills that we are giving you should be completed in a logical sequence starting with strengthening you wrists and follow through to meeting toward the chair, strengthen your physical mechanics. The chair follow-through drill will force the player to work on having a strong follow through as they complete their free throws.
An added benefit of this drill is that it forces the athlete to finish with their shoot above their head and not with their arms shooting toward the front of the rim.
Notice that the chair is below the half circle of the free throw line, so the back of the chair line up on the bottom half of the circle of the free throw line. Complete 25 mix of this drill.
