Free throw shooting standards are broken down into two categories: the free throw shooting percentage and your actual shooting standard. If you shoot 50% or below, you are a below average free throw shooter, 60% to 64% fair, 65% to 69% average, 70% to 74% you are above average, or in the top 30% in the world, 75% to 79% good, or in the top 10% in the world, 80% to 89% excellent, or in the top 5% in the world, then 90% and above, outstanding, you are in the top 1% in the world.
Your goals should be to raise your standard from one level to the next as quickly as possible. Becoming a good free throw shooter is not complicated, it is only dedicated. If you dedicate yourself to becoming a consistent free throw shooter, then you will also become consistent in how well you shoot free throws. Best of luck with your game.
