I’m Lucky here at Pink Karma Salon. Today, we’ll be doing henna designs.
In this segment, I’ll be showing you how to remove the henna. As you can see, this is almost about to peel off, you can move your fingers and it will just come right off. You can get the back of a knife or anything else and just scrap that off.
It's better to go out of ink and just use a knife to remove this. Remove as much as you can. Keep scraping it until all the henna is removed. Some areas may take longer depending on the thickness of the henna that was applied. The thinner it is the faster it is will dry. It's okay, if all the henna does not come off. The longer you keep it on, the better the color will last and the color will be more vibrant.
As you can see, this one was left on for almost 20 minuets and it came into almost a yellowish color. If you leave it on for a longer period of time, it’ll become more reddish. So, I will remove all the henna that is drying. If you’re done removing as much as you can, get baby oil and some cotton. Apply the baby oil on the cotton and apply it on the henna. This will help it last longer and the water wont make it fade faster. This is how you remove henna.
