i can do the fowards one but it always falls down between my thumb and middle figure how do i keep it up

I try to do it and i start by the eraser but i always at the end of the rotaion i am at the other end and it falls what am i doing wronge?

hey you should hold the pencil at the center of gravity point but you're holding at the end in the vedio

please elaborate
I have been tryign this for hours, but no matter how hard I try the spin goes above my thump not around it. sometimes beauutifully and twice around and i can sometimes catch it but usually not. You need to explain some of the reasons it's hard to learn. I can't get it to go around my thumb. pout*

Learn How to Spin a Pencil

So I decided to put together a video that instead of just showing you how to spin a pencil, I would actually teach you how to spin a pencil. So let's get started with the basics. We are going to start with just going once around. As you can see, I am only using three fingers the index finger, the middle finger and the thumb and the pencil is off center and that most of the way it's off to the left side of the screen here and what I am going to do is I am going to push the pencil around my thumb and then catch it between my index finger and thumb and you will see that the weight shift goes from on left side to the middle when I catch it and then when I do it again I have to kind of shift the weight back to the left. Not only is this technique essential for the more advanced stuff I am about to show you but you can use it to spin anything that's even similarly shape to a pen or pencil that's later on your house such as a screwdriver or even something as crazy as a banana. Note that I am using the same basic techniques here. It's all when the weight shift around the thumb. With the Over and Back, you are going to want to start with the pencil brace between your thumb, your middle and your ring finger. The reason for doing that is because if the index finger is going to be used to push the pencil back around the thumb and then you catch it with your thumb, middle finger and ring finger. This technique in index one will take considerably more time to learn than just the once around. So the last and cools looking technique I will be shown you here is the Continuous which is really just an extension of the Over and Back. This is what you are doing is when the pencil comes back around the thumb, instead of catching it you are just going to push it back over with the middle finger. So what's you got is an original pushing of the pencil around the thumb with the middle finger and back with the index finger and back with the middle finger and back with the index finger. You could just do that as many times this until you make a mistake. So remember people while you are learning it's all in the weight balance and lastly because now you are going to ask, no I was not in debat.
