Well we’ve been in the key of A, we’ve been in the key of E let’s go to the key of C. One guitar players influence me great when I was starting was Big Bill Broonzy, I heard him do a tune a pop stencil the Glory of Love but he made it into a blues tune in his own way and I’ve sort of rearrange it playing the key of C as Big Bill did but trying to add a little bit of Garry Davis as well as a little bit of Blind Blake. So here’s my version of The Glory of Love.
[Demonstration]
So that’s a fun tune to play in the key of C. We’re basically in the first position. I heard a joke with Martin Taylor in concert and he was saying how these chords his first position chords in Nashville they say that’s where you make your money from. I bet it’s true down to Nashville. We start of, so theirs no alternating base their referred to me to my ears got to Garry Davies then into a G7 now here you could if you look at my right hand I’m doing an alternating bass where you could go, that is stumble a blind Blake stumble bass of what I call it and then you go and that stumble bass as you enter it to the C chord, you can stumble again as you get into the F chords so you can do it or not do the stumble are something extra as you playing it to give texture variation you can put those in. As you straight, stumble that’s the same type of phrase as we began with and we’re ending it with and sort of introduction to single as tickle if you don’t know that it’s just going to be have this phrase going down in the bass from the top the Garry Davis part, stumble until C and to the F, C and that’s interesting here where you playing the G that your also getting that C not, no I’m not a singer nor do I know the lyrics to this but in the back of my mind I remember they go a little bit.
[Demonstration]
And then you just going to repeat that again, so let’s split the screen and just do that section then we’re going to have the bridge because I show right after the spit screen.
[Demonstration]
Okay and you feel comfortable with that, now we get in to the bridge
[Demonstration]
And what do we go into and F chord and what I do is play the F chord everything off check tablet till you hear, I’m playing my first, third and six string everything of, change this finger in, I have my index finger on the set for the fourth string and check out my ring and pinky on the third frets the first and third string, going up and this is sort of working around an F chord and back to the F so all together. And to the C stumble, stumble again and repeat that but here so we have basically playing G chord here we have thumb on third fret of the sixth ring, index on the third fret and the first its actually around the C here and ending in the G. And a lot of time at that point I go all the way up here, the fifteen fret and just tickle it and bring it back and then you’re into the various, so all together.
[Demonstration]
Get back into the F open, got to give a little and you’re often running. Let’s split the screen and let’s try that F section and will have the whole Glory of Love.
