Blues in any key
Tutorial: Part 4
Danny Grady: Now, let's apply that again to Blues in A. We are going to go find A on the sixth string; E, F, G, A. Remember, all natural notes are a whole step apart with the exception of the E and F and B and C, which are half step apart, they would be right next to each other. So E, F, G, A.
So let's identify our three chords: our Root, our Fourth, and our Fifth. One, four, and five. Let's play the one chord four beats, four chord four beats, one chord eight beats, four chord eight beats, one chord for eight beats, five chord for four beats, four chord for four beats, one chord for four beats, then finish on the five for four beats.
Scotty Moore: Hi, I am Scotty Moore. She came right by and handed me a slip of paper. I looked at her and I said, Elvis Presley, what kind of damn name is that.
Danny Grady: Starting with the first fret across strings one and two, the first fret. The second finger on the second fret of the third string, so that's a little part of an F chord there.
