Go up to the next note which is C. here with our pinky at the 10th fret of the 4 string, we are going to go find out root of -- find our 3rd a root, 2nd, 3rd, then from the 3rd, 3, 4, 5. So we have C, then E, and then G, and you will notice I am playing this pinky 3rd, 2nd. So one of the nice things about our arpeggio is if you stand in the same position, you are not ever using your first finger, you are starting out with a pinky and you are ending on your second finger. You really have to rely on your pinky to initiate the arpeggio.
So after C we have D. So start with D here on the 7th fret at the 3rd string. That's our root. We will go upto the R 3rd , D, F#. So 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and we have A. So for D Major, which is the 5th chord in the key of G Major and we have that, the 6 note in the key of a G is E which we are doing here at the 7th fret of the 3rd string. That would be our root. Let's find our 3rd. So 1, 2, 3 and there is our 3rd there which is G, and then G, 3, 4, 5. There is our 5th, that's B. So we have E, G, E. So our 6th chord in the key of G Major is E Minor and those are the three notes that make up the arpeggios for you.
This is 3 A.M. by MatchBox Twenty, the songs in the key of A Flat Major and standard tuning of a capo at the 1st fret. When we open 1st string on a 3rd fret on the 2nd strings that's again. The D chord here and that's going to be the first finger at the 6th fret on the 1st string, the third finger on the 8th fret of the 3rd string.
