Danny Grady: And then once you feel like you have got that 3rd string down then you should maybe go for some other wound strings; the 4th through the 6th. Here I am playing the 7th fret on the 4th string and remember, wherever, depending on where you pick it, pick it further back towards the bridge, you get some, a certain kind of overtone and as you move up, that overtone changes. So really easy lectures to practice to, to make sure that you are getting all of the elements that you need to practice, to master these pinch harmonics is to do the 5th fret here on the 3rd string with first finger, just play that knob by itself, then do a bend on the 7th fret of that 3rd string, then come back to the 7th fret of the 5th fret on the 3rd string rather, and then bring it through the finger up and grab the 7th fret on the 4th string.
So that I will get you practicing the different types of pinch harmonic that we need to do; one with the regular knob on an unwound string, a bended knob and then a pinch harmonic on a wound string. I cannot stress enough as this is the technique that takes a long time to develop for lot of players and it's really up to how you hold your hands. Again a just of it, you just want to run that thumb up against the string as you pick.
Alright, good luck with it and get to practicing.
