Danny Grady: When you are doing this kind of pull-off where you are just picking once and you are doing two pull-offs to essentially play three notes; the first time you try that, you definitely want to compartmentalize it. You want to just pull off one at a time and then let your hands just get fast on their own.
So, attempt the third fret to second fret pull-off first and then once you feel comfortable with that, then do the first finger pull-off and then take your second finger and put it on the third fret of the sixth string and finish.
Let's try that again. As you get used to it, it gets faster. The thing that is important to note about speed, especially when you are learning a new technique, is you want to let the speed come to you. Practicing something over and over again, you are going to find that it just kind of naturally gets faster.
