Cristina: I am sitting here with Rey Velan and we are the Bella agency and he has a division that is called the 40+ division. And, it is an amazing division where women that are 40+ and look amazing and are still modeling in our advertisement and editorials and everywhere. So, what make you ridiculous?
Rey Velan: I mean there is couple of reasons why we did this. Why we open up that 40+. Moving for something agency about four years ago, there are women 40+ that were doing lot of advertising.
Cristina: That is what I love it that way because a lot of models think, “You know what I am 30, so I am done.
Rey Velan: Which is not?
Cristina: And when I started, I remember lying about my age. Like I was 22 and I was lying that I was 18 because there was that stigma and this is showing everyone not anymore. All right?
Rey Velan: Yes, I mean I think after certain age that modeling business is over. That is not true. But, after booking someone in some of the advertises whether it is a product or advertising, or catalog or beauty and also getting feedback. What happen was some other clients just gave as such great compliments on our woman 40+ and we came up with an idea, you know why not show the promo and why not promoted.
Cristina: So tell me some of the clients.
Rey Velan: You know client’s ranges. Whether it is more the lifestyle clients that are looking for women for pharmacidical a regular add whether it is a bank or a hotel to fashion and beauty. Whether it is Avon—
Cristina: Which is huge right now because they are doing so many products for that targeting that market.
Male: Exactly. And also catalogs. Catalogs that are starting to market a little bit to women 40+ and we represents all of necessities for 40+ and they work. We definitely have working--.
Cristina: Now, it is something like a 40+ for men?
Male: Not yet. We definitely have men that are 40+, but that could be done the road. I mean you have seen a little bit of—
Cristina: But already men have like throughout time that I noticed, they model automatically neither than women.
Rey Velan: Exactly and you do see the trans and change in little bit. I mean obviously they are advertisers, their advertisers that are marketing towards men a little bit. It is a woman business still basically is a women’s business. So you are going to see more of advertisers booking or advertising towards these women especially because this is a whole demographic. The baby boomers, lot of women with disposable incomes and the mind is there.
Cristina: That is great and I am excited to here about it and tell everybody about it.
