Or perhaps green is more your scene, head for the hills with your local rock climbing club. Give yourself a physical and mental challenge as you rock climb you way to a wonderful sense of achievement. Enhance your balance, coordination and mental focus. Imagine the sense of self-confidence you'll achieve once you get to the top.
Or perhaps cross-country trail bike driving is more your style, push those quadriceps to the limit. Give your gluteus minimus, medius and maximus a massive work out. Adventure brings a workout to your body, mind and spirit. Endure enjoy.
He’s an oldie but a goldie. Aerobics has been around for about 40 years but continuous to get millions of hearts pumping all over the world. Way back in 1968, Air Force Dr. Kenneth Cooper realized that the majority of people suffered poor cardiovascular fitness even the ones that looked buffed and muscle toned on the outside. He cleverly devised a set of exercises that would concentrate on all areas of fitness into one session. Cardiovascular fitness, strength and flexibility are all part of the aerobics workout.
In an aerobic session, you’ll be given a set of repetitive movements to complete. If they're done long enough and hard enough, your respiratory and circulatory systems will quickly re-vent themselves to cope with the increased oxygen intake. If you're new to exercise and it all looks so little daunting, don’t worry there will be a class aimed at your fitness level at the local fitness center.
Since 1968, aerobics has become so popular that now you can take your pick of a number of different varieties from step aerobics to dance aerobics and low impact aerobics. There’s bound to be one that’s just right for you. Most aerobic classes are taken by qualified aerobics instructors who will know just how hard to push you. It suggested that you do three aerobics classes per week to see good results, and if this seems a little too much now just wait until you're a couple of weeks into your program. You're levels of fitness will increase noticeably within a short period of time.
You don’t have to be in training for the Olympics to enjoy athletics. Amateur track and field training attracts people from all over the world.
