Stephanie: How would you describe an AlexisonFire show for someone who's never been?
Wade MacNeil: It's like sitting in a library and thumbing through, you know, The Great Gatsby, and you get to around Page 13 and Page 13 is missing, then the librarian takes his shirt off and then some guy comes out of nowhere and knocks a bookshelf over on to a pile of...
Stephanie: Hi and welcome to watchmojo.com. I am your host Stephanie.
Male Speaker: Don't be nervous, don't be scared, stop shaking.
Stephanie: I am shaking from the cold, so I am trying to...
Male Speaker: Okay, never mind then. You are fine.
Stephanie: Alright, and we are going to talk to about five-piece post-hardcore AlexisonFire.
Wade MacNeil: And the things are most important to us for music are things that we like when we are growing up, the final and playing shows.
Stephanine: So can you guys tell me what are your inspirations?
Wade MacNeil: It's kind of comes from everything beyond touring out. Just the people you meet, the music you listen to, the art you see, the books you read and kind of, I think you start picking more you like little things, like then. Just store them in your brain and when you start you know writing music it kind of all comes out. Hopefully.
Stephanie: What you guys think about the current state of the music industry?
Wade MacNeil: Completely like a sinking ship, like it's going down and it's burning and people have no idea what's going on. That's fine because I think it will just allow bands to you know may be not be so pressured and influenced by labels and you know just maybe create something that's a little more worth while.
Stephanie: So guys, I would like to talk about Crisis and the musical and lyrical themes behind it.
Wade MacNeil: I mean, I guess there are a lot of songs that are like being to some channel, the city you grow up in, and not really cheery, and a bunch fake love songs. It's kind of a little bit more morose. We are playing the whole album, five on the Stuart and then a bunch of other songs. So I definitely want to write a bunch of songs that are kind of Barn Burners and like that, not really rock.
