Vince: I like this little saying, and if you were to take to all the millionaires in the world right now and you were to takeaway all of their money and make them literarily bankrupt to zero, I guarantee you, those same people would become millionaires again because they understand the process of getting there. Just like that education. And I think, if you took the fittest people in the world and you strip off all the muscle from their body, you pack on as much fat into their body as possible, they would get back to where they were before because they understand that it’s not a magic formula. It’s not a diet pill. It’s not something you inject that gets you there. It’s hard work, consistency. It’s being truly committed to your goals, staying motivated, surround yourself with the right people and those are principles, those are quick fixes.
Rob: Yes, I just want to add one more point to that, if you look at the people who have inspired me, people who are on the covers of magazines, but if you actually look at who they are and they’re involved in many different aspects of fitness, and wellbeing, and prosperity, and success, these are people who have sculpted the body that they want to be able to use as maybe a marketing tool for other areas that they’re involved in or just for especially, just a sense of wellbeing, confidence especially. These people who, we look towards as inspiration for us, they are actually very successful people in all areas of their life, not just in their appearance. And I think that is true with a lot of successful people.
Vince: Yes.
Rob: If you look at really successful people, they actually take care of their bodies because there is a real true connection between the mind and the body. I think if you have to control to be able to discipline your body, look after your body, take care of it and actually be able to change your body. I mean just think about that for a minute.
How many people out there really have that key, the knowledge, the discipline and, I think that’s what we have spoken about today, to control their body, this amazingly complex machine that we have given in because, you know, we have gotten too deep into the concept of it, but the mind and the being is as one with them selves. Our body is the vehicle that we move about. So, for us to be able to really change that and more fitted and creative—whether we want to get bigger, stronger and faster, just more efficient in terms of absorbing nutrients and protecting ourselves from diseases. The people who can understand that actually make use of it. But, if you look at in this, they’re successful in all of the areas of life through wellbeing, financial security, happiness, relationship especially.
Vince: You mean career, everything. Yes, I think it’s a—what goes in has to come out. I think it is very, very—I like to look at the body as a kind of like a temple. That is where your life dwells and that’s where your spirit dwells as well and typically there is consistency for most people. You don’t see that in balance.
So, we encourage that and even taking a step in the right direction from a physical standpoint. Don’t consider it as just in vain. “I don’t deserve to invest in myself.” Look at it as a gift that you can give yourself. When I workout, I don’t look at it as an hour I get to spend staring at myself in the mirror. I don’t look at it as an opportunity to look how pretty I look at right now and to fall in love with myself. I look at it is a gift I can give myself to improve other areas of my life to be an inspiration to other people and I challenge myself to test my limits.
I find that one of my personal athletics while I’m growing up is being a long distance runner, it really, really, it test you. And I like always talking about it. It’s one thing to lift 100 pounds over your head once, but can you come back and do it again when you’re tired and that is what life is all about, doing things when you’re not tired.
So training hard, what I’m saying is, it challenges your spirit, it tests your will. And if you’re able to push yourself
