I am Steve Turano welcome to this episode of body performance. A lot of people were worried about starting a cardiovascular training program and there for sacrificing muscle. Do not worry about losing muscle mass if they got side in cardio or doing in a treadmill.
This is just not the case. The average individual 99% of people do not have to worry about his because they are not at the elite level of fitness meaning they are not pushing their bodies to the limit and the bodies are not already in peak condition. There are certain things you do not have to focus on this, bodybuilders, they are kind of maximizing their muscle they have while minimizing the amount of body fat.
Now minimize the body fat levels you have got exercise, do cardio and cut their choleric intake. Now when they cut their choleric intake to lose body fat and to get it down to such a low percentage they are going to lose or sacrifice a certain amount of muscle mass. It is going to happen; those muscles are going to be used for energy, for new trends things with that nature.
Long distance runners, extreme cyclist, things like this, endurance athletes if they do not eat enough carbohydrates to fuel their body and enough proteins to re build their body after their exercise programs they can not sacrifice a certain amount of upper body muscle mass because this is really nutritious and if not taking you enough calories these muscles will be sacrificed to help feed the legs and keep them going.
But the average person does not have to worry about this, so if you started cardiovascular training program you will not use your muscles mass as a matter of fact start weight training your program at the same time. This will help firm up your body and also burn additional calories. Thanks for watching, love your body.
