Leila: Welcome to watchmojo.com, I am your host Leila. Let's get upfront with Danny Diablo aka Lord Ezec, the lord of his musical empire, a hip-hop Thug-core crossover.
So let's start a bit with the development of Thug-core style before even the establishment of Skarhead, where did this creation come from?
Danny Diablo: Just from the neighborhood, and I am from Jackson Heights, Queens and grew around hip-hop and other things, so basically I was in hip-hop before, and began to hardcore so we talk about the same things in both scenes. That's the progressive to put both styles together and just -- that's how it became Skarhead and I never called it the Thug-core or anything like that.
Leila: What's it like for you to see, other people pick up on it?
Danny Diablo: Well they are good, you know, they add more power to it. I am happy.
Leila: You know, imitation is the best form of flattery.
Leila: Yeah, what's it like working others artists versus doing it individually?
Danny Diablo: If you are cool and you are -- and you know, if you are cool and you like to do hard music I will work with you.
Leila: What is it like working together?
Ceekay: You know, we have a good time, man, you what I mean? We travel together we are always - yeah, let's got, it is a good team, I have been working with Ezec for a while and now, you know, I do his hype stuff. We do the shop blockers together and you know, we pretty much -- we are a good match, you know, we balance each other out so, you know.
Leila: What are you responsibilities as an entertainer?
Danny Diablo: Just stay true to my music -- it is funny because I just a did a movie and it says -- I always make fun of LA and stuff like and these are like Hollywood and now I am in LA and Hollywood and doing movies and stuff. I just want to do stuff -- I just want to do things that make me happy like if I watch myself in a movie and laugh at myself I am going to be happy, I will be happy about it. I listen to my music and make someone happy I am happy.
Leila: And going from musician to actor to producer, is this like, is it the same you from activity to activity. Are you putting a...
Danny Diablo: I am still the same retard. I love staying busy. Once -- if I am not bust that means I am not doing anything and that means I am going to get myself in trouble so I stay busy, I stay positive, a positive mental attitude.
Leila: You make street music, who can appreciate it?
Danny Diablo: The street kids. You know what is funny, the street kids love it but then the suburban kids love it because the want to be street kids, so --. I have got people coming, famous people coming and say and like my music and I am like that I know it is really not my stuff it is my music.
Leila: Guys thank you for you time, we look forward to watching you.
Danny Diablo: Okay, have a good time.
