Controlling of Depth of Field
Depth of field can be controlled in three different ways. You need to memorize these and this is what they are:
The smaller the aperture, the thicker the depth of field—that is the first one
The further away you are from your subject, the thicker the depth of field, so if you are taking picture of a mountain, that may be a lot like a mile thick. If you back far enough, you can get the whole mountain in focus. Okay, it is a good way to kind of remember it.
And the last one is, wide angle lens, the wider your lens, so the wider your angle lens, the thicker your depth of field. One, two or three—you absolutely got to memorize these things because we are taking pictures or group shots or whatever, you are going to need to know the rules to make adjustments.
Here you again the three ways to control depth of field are:

Two, distance—the further away you are from your subjects, the thicker the depth of field
Three, lastly—this wide angle lens, the wider angle of your lens, the thicker you depth of field.
