Hi. I cannot tell whether my earlier note was successfully sent. First, thank you for posting the informative flamenco clip. Would you be willing to send it to me via e-mail, as an attachment? I am having trouble downloading anything that shows flamenco dancing, although I have found many wonderful video clips. I need something that is very brief. Is it possible to eliminate the commercial at the start? Thanks, Juliet

Thank you for posting this! I have been searching for a short, free, download-able video clip to include in a slide show I am preparing for a summer course assignment and for my own students of Spanish. Is there any way you could e-mail the clip to me a an attachment? I would be happy to credit you. I am having a great deal of trouble trying to download anything, and could not find my way through the YouTube maze except to see some marvelous clips. Any help will be appreciated. Do you have any others about flamenco that do not have a TV commercial attached to the front? Thanks, Juliet

Welcome to watchmojo.com. I am your host Tita. Today we are going to talk about flamenco. Flamenco is a folk art born in Spain. More specifically from Andalusia. It had been the way of expression of the poet and Operas, as far back as the 16th century. It's a unique blend of four different ethnic groups. The Gypsies, Muslims, Jews and the indigenous Andalusians. It is passed on by oral tradition. Flamenco is composed of three artistic elements. The singing, el cante, the dance, el ballet, and the guitar, la guitarra. It is the company of the Palmas or hand clapping. The singer is the center of the flamenco group. The dancer physically interprets the words and emotion of the singer, and the guitarist provides the accompaniment to the singer and the dancer. Even if they have a basic structure, a language of their own, the three members can improvise almost all the performance. Now, in 2007 the flamenco is all around the world.
