Learn about Lamb's Ear Plants

Hi I’m Dave Epstein at Growing Wisdom next to my driveway. Edge of a border, this is a new planting we put in about a year ago and I want to share with you one of the plants that I put in front of the border. It’s called lamb’s ear and it’s a wonderful plant. Look at the color. The color is this almost sea green or bluish grey color. It really stands out in the front of the boarder, very hardy plant, loves full sun, a little bit drought tolerant as well which is definitely a benefit.

I love the plant next to the grass here. It looks really nice. It’s also in front of some Russian sage right here so that looks rarely nice and the plant just kind of soft, just like a lamb’s ear and thus its name. So lamb’s ear, a wonderful plant for the front of the boarder, nice color, it does get a purple spike flower which you can’t cut off because the flower can get a little bit high. Otherwise, it’s a great cover.
