If your medicine bottles is take with food, you really have to throw down or can you just take the pills, some drugs like Ibuprofen and aspirin on an empty stomach can cause severe irritation that's why some important to have some food near to access the cushion other one is like blood pressure medicines need to be mixed with foods so that they can slowly go through the system and be absorbed to get their full effect.

If your drug label is taken in empty stomach this is means that drug doesn't want any competition from food, therefore you want to take your drug on hour before a meal or two hours after.
