Our guest today is here to talk about mobile franchising. Franchise expert Dick Rennick is an award winning founder of the 360 unit franchise system and former chairman of the international franchise association. Dick is recognized as one of the leading experts in franchising. Dick, welcome to sbtv.com. Dick Rennick: Thank You. Beth Haselhorst: So what are we talking about when we say mobile franchises? Dick Rennick: Well, in today’s economy we have both members of the household working and so it’s a great venue for mobile franchises people that would come and clean your carpets, people that would come and clean you home. People that would come and wash you windows, people that would come and rescreen your home so that family just to spend more to me together so when we’re talking about that, we’re talking about those kinds and brands that go out and put springs on lunch screen mobile in you. And that sparkle clean window wash and the all these kinds of things so that’s mobile. People get in advance and they go across the town to do this job and go across the town to do that job, lots of messes are learned companies new name it home care. Beth Haselhorst: Sound like this trend title tied in to lot into the economic conditions. Dick Rennick: Absolutely! Today’s economics is more mobile than it has been before not that the fast foods and the restaurant in these three asset have been a big market for the franchise community but I would tell you that mobile franchising and home based franchising is on the rise. Beth Haselhorst: What types of franchises were fast as mobile franchises? Dick Rennick: Well, things those are good for the home owner. Things like maybe cleaning carpet, changing lights on outdoor yard lighting. There are seasonal outdoor yard lining companies that come in over the holidays and then light your building and your property for the Christmas all of the author thanksgiving or for Halloween. There are companies that will command and do your entire yard landscaping and lighting. Thanks that makes light easier for the home owners so that they can spend more time together as a family. Beth Haselhorst: So existing owners, business owners might want to think about a way to turn their business into a mobile business. Dick Rennick: Absolutely! You have faded got a business. There’s a fellow that I know very well that years ago and when a round spring people’s yards to I've it special fertilizing. Today has got about a 300-54000 franchises out there taking care of people’s yards. It doesn’t knew yards it just comes in and sprays it with the chemical and makes the yard greener and keeps it healthier and all he’s doing is providing that service to people all off us in the county. Beth Haselhorst: Is there a type of person or entrepreneur that’s better suited from all the business? Dick Rennick: Absolutely!! If you lie working outdoors and you like being hands on, this mobile franchising is for you. If you like, working behind the desk and you like dealing with numbers in those kinds of things, that mobile franchise would be for you as well because e have this term that we say we need to work on your business not in your business. You’re going to find it a love of mobile franchises are husband and wife too. When I talk about husband and wife themes, I'm talking about this couple as already living together the they’re working together and one of those one way one day and on goes another way the next day but when you’re working in business together usually one of them works in the business hands on and the other works on the business.
