btw eid al fitr is the first day of shawal which is the next month following ramadan not the last day ... just wanna point it out

Hey! Welcome to watchmojo.com. I am your host Melissa and today is Ramadan. Ramadan is the ninth and holiest month of the Muslim year and it celebrates the revelation of the Quran to Muhammad.

Now as part of Ramadan, Muslims are expected to fast. However, there are certain few people who are exempted from this fast and they are soldiers, people who are sick and young children. Now, fasting also happens to be one of the five pillars of faith. So why the fasting? Well, there are several reasons. One is to cleanse the body and mind. It is also to appreciate Allah’s bounty. It also protects against sin. And it develops self control and patience. Now, in the last day of Ramadan which is known as the Eid al-Fitr, Muslim celebrates with a big feast.
