More power for the TT, Audi introduce the sports model TTS with a stronger 272 hp engine. At the North American International Auto Show in Detroit. The third engine version of the TT uses the same four-cylinder direct injection engine as the base model, but with a revised charger and new airflow technology. It turns out a third more output. What's more, its torque has been boosted to 350 Newton meters allowing the coupe to sort at 100 kilometers per hour, in 5.4 seconds. The Roadster does that in 5.6, top speed for both models is limited to 250.
on the visual side there is nothing spectacular the new little swift guy differs only in subtle points. There is new front mask for instance, you can recognize the TTS by its headlights. They have been redesigned and now shine with Bi-xenon illumination as well as 12 light emitting diodes for the daytime running lights. Add to that the TTS logo on the radiator grille and rear lit and for the Roadster a fully automatic top including an electric wind deflector.
The interior has been decorated with a whole host of new items, the cockpit is sporty and upscale as its fitting for this car, instead of ultralight racing bucket like its predecessor there are now excellent sport seats also available for the regular TT. For the stronger engine Audi has also devised and adapt a suspension system called Magnetic ride allowing you to vary the springs and ground clearance at the press of a button.
In the sport mode for example the TTS automatically goes into a crouch 10 centimeters lower.
