And today were going to be talking about what wireless costumers really want with about 230 million wireless costumers alone this industry is expansive with large variety of consumers manufacturers and carriers involved in this industry that its constantly evolving and right now were going to talked Dave Takushi with wireless toys, hi how are you. Dave Takushi: Good thanks. Summer Knowles: So tell us what are some of the Trans were seeing. Dave Takushi: Well e see a lot more complex spellings these days. Email always features, text messaging, browsing in the web, GPS, we had a survey done back in consumer insights just about a year and a half ago. And we really wanted to know what were our costumers using out of the phones, or what were other companies costumer is using and the most popular feature that was out there was of course was Caller ID. So most people had Caller ID and this are kind of a basic teachers that most all phones have already this days and most people relay on, Caller ID was really the top one that was out there then camera was the next one after that. Then text messaging was another big one that’s out there but what were seeing even more than these days are there is so many people that want like a full keyboard on the phone. Because if you're into a lot text messaging or maybe email and phones this days are being used almost as much for text messaging sometimes as they are for talking on the phone. So that full keyboard is a really nice feature in order to have with it. Other features those are great to have are going to be email capability, check your email while you're out and about. That’s increasing in popularity, whether its you know kids or business owners, anybody across the board. Calendar functionality is another one of course its important to do a list so you can take notes and keep tract of the things that you need to get done those other things that are really important to the users that our there. That people that are using them more and more this days and looking for more features in the phones there is still a way in the certain number of people that yeah, I just want to phone or I can make calls and receive calls. You still have a lot of those people but the bigger base is starting you know move a little bit more towards, more features in the different phones. Summer Knowles: And one of the most popular features it’s like on top three. Dave Takushi: You know the top three that I would say as far use goes the camera is still there is still so many people that are using the camera, there are still people that aren’t but you know camera is one of the biggest feature that’s out there. Text messaging so many people was signing for text messaging plans these days and using the text messaging and then I would say email is another big one that’s out there after that the calendar. Summer Knowles: All right and talked about the unlocked phones. Dave Takushi: That’s another thing that’s been pretty popular for costumers is that they want the freedom of flexibility to be able to use their phone not just for their current carrier but maybe use it overseas or with another carrier. So they want the flexibility to be able to take their phone over to another carrier just like they can take their phone number through another carrier these days. So unlock phones will allow you with the right carriers you will be able to take a little chip out of it, put a different type of chip in and immediately it starts working for another carriers so that’s increasing in popularity and a lot of demand that’s out there. Summer Knowles: And what are some of the other accessories that go along with it, that were seeing? Dave Takushi: Other accessories of course popular ones and most popular ones this days that wasn’t you know a year ago but has increased so much this days because so many phone have Bluetooth in it, is to have a Bluetooth phone and a Bluetooth headset and a lot of newer cars this day will have Bluetooth both in them. So you can take your phone into the car and all of the sudden the speakers in the car it has a microphone in there you can start talking on the phone in the car there without you know having to use a Bluetooth headset or anything else. Those people that don’t have a car that has Bluetooth you can get a small Bluetooth headset or Bluetooth speakerphone that you can use in also.
