Sasha Miller: Everyone knows how important the Internet is becoming for emerging artists, and no one knows that better than Alex Foster of "Your Favorite Enemies". Hey, welcome to WatchMojo. I am your host Sasha, and we got to talk to Alex today about the worldwide fan base that they have got going, and more about the tour as well.
So far are you guys having good time on the tour?
Alex Foster: Yeah, it's been great, and it's like a big circus, basically here at the Vans Warped Tour it's crazy, all the cool bands, but I think what I really like about the tour is the whole attitude, the atmosphere, and everybody is cool with everybody, and there is no like "Rock N Roll Bullshit," or whatever. So that's cool.
Sasha Miller: How long has "Your Favorite Enemies" been around for so far?
Alex Foster: I think we had like different incarnations. We have been playing in different bands for quite a long time, all mixed up, and "Your Favorite Enemies," like this line up has been together for two-years-and-a-half. Now we have to finish the album. We started the album producing the full line album with our producer Steve Thompson, he worked with Metallica and few other small bands like that. So --
Sasha Miller: Small bands --
Alex Foster: It will probably be the smallest band he worked with, and I am just kidding, and so we got to finish the album, and then after that we are going back to Europe, and then we are supposed to tour in Asia as well. And for last year, we started quite naively on MySpace. We organized, but ever before starting everything, for us we say, well, what we really want to do is, every single person who is going to write us message, so we are going to take time to answer them. So a year later, I mean, that's full time commitment believe me, and that's how we have like so many communities all around the world. We have like Japanese communities, now they are translating everything in their own language, and German, and French. So there are lots of things going on, so it's all about keeping yourself busy I guess.
Sasha Miller: So musically who would say that your band looks up to?
Alex Foster: Oh man that's a good question, I mean, probably a little bit of Celine Dion, mixed with -- I don't know Mariah Carey, and old school Whitney Houston probably.
Sasha Miller: Yeah, for sure.
Alex Foster: Yeah.
