The 102 story Empire State Building was completed in 1931. It stands at 1,250 feet high.
Over 3,000 workers took place in the construction, most of them European emigrants.
It took 410 days to complete and 14 were killed during construction.
Perhaps the Empire State Building is most represented and most recognized as the building King Kong wons the original 1933 movie as well as the remakes.
It was also the world’s tallest building from the time it was completed until 1972.
