Learn about the Hori Hori knife weeder

Hi, this is Lars with Clean Air Gardening and today I am going to tell you about a really cool manly gardening tool that everybody should have. It is called the Hori Hori Knife. It has got hard wood handle and it is stainless steel. It has got a serrated edge here and a semi-sharp edge on this side and this tool is actually made in Japan and it has been used for generations in Japan. They usually take these up on Mount Fuji and they use them to pry out little trees that they return into Bonsai plants. But you are probably not going to be climbing Mount Fuji with it. You are probably going to be using it in your yard and it has a measurement thing on here so you can see or you can measure while you are gardening. It is perfect for weeding. You can really get in there and get those weeds out. You can use the serrated edge to saw the roots. You can pry with it because it is a really solid stainless steel. It has a belt loop holder so you can keep it attached to your belt there by your gardening. And it is just always handy right there. Plus if you are into intimidating your neighbors or you just want to feel safe while gardening, well this is your tool because who is going to mess with you when you’ve got this thing.
