In 1943, the Paricutin Volcano grew 336 meters and would go on to erupt for eight years, quite eruptions of lava occurred during this eight years until 1952 when it stopped. All the lands surrounding the volcano was torched because of the lava and because it is a monogenetic volcano, it would never erupt to then.
The volcano attained the final height of 424 meters while the total height was 10,000 feet. What is magnificent about Paricutin is just one of the few volcanoes that was completely viewed from its conception on. It is the youngest in a group of 1400 volcanic events inside the trans-American volcanic belt.
