Hi I’m Pirooz co-founder of the Grooming Lounge. Today I’m going to show you how to
get the greatest shave ever. In this segment, I’m going to teach you how to apply a low
foaming shave cream and cock-tail it with the shave oil that I just put on in the last
segment. If you notice part of my face has been shaved with shave oil. Now to get a
closer shave and get smoother shave and get an easier shave, I’m going to apply a shave
cream.
Now I’m going to use a low foaming shave cream. Foam looks cool and the foam is
interesting and all but there’s two things with foam; A, the foam have to come out of the
can or aerosol can believe me there’s alcohol in there and the last thing you want on your
face when your shaving especially when you’re coming through and taking that you
know beard off and you know it’s a form of exfoliation so the last thing you want is
alcohol touching your skin.
Two, like I said all that foam is great but it’s not just doing anything if it’s not touching
the surface of your skin. Today, we’re using a Beard Destroyer shave cream; it’s a low
forming shave cream. This is a great shave cream for men with acne, men with thin
grown hairs which is something we’ll get into later, but it’s very easy. I’m going to cock-
tail this with my oil and I’m going to put it on the oil and what we’re going to do is we’re
going to shave with the grain so watch.
I’m going to work in the shave cream. Like I said it’s non-foamy. It’s more moisturizing
and then working it all the way through. So if you notice, there’s no foam on my beard, I
don’t look like Santa Clause. There’s no need for that, the foam is just going to get in the
way of my razor and it’s not touching my skin or the surface of my skin which this shave
cream is. So as you look here, I’m going to start out with my left side, alright.
Now the thing to remember is when you’re shaving, you rinse your blade often and you
want to do this in hot water basically. The reason for that is I want warmer water
touching my skin, again it helps soften up the beard. Now if you look here what I’m
doing is I have my razor not in the 45 because watch this, it’s going to drag. It doesn’t
feel good. I have my razor in a 90° degree angle and I take a pass.
Now it goes through, we activate the product. Just my skin, watch how I stretch my skin
and I take a pass. I stretch my skin, I take a pass just like this and I’m going with the
grain. Watch this, yeah, going through working it all the way through just press the skin
taking a pass, okay. Now that I finished most of my beard off if you noticed I left the area
which I call the more sensitive areas for last.
I’ve done this for two reasons because I want to show you how to go through the
sensitive areas and I like going through the sensitive areas last because if you’re actually
allowing the products to penetrate more and soften up the beard. Now in my next
segment I’m going to show you how to shave your neck properly. How to stretch the skin
while you’re shaving there and I’m also going to come in this area, I’m going to take
advantage of the oil, I’m going to come around my mustache and chin.
I’ll show you how to shave the hair off the chin and how to stretch the skin but before I
do that I’m going to create some facial hair for you just so you can see how to even
utilize the oil to your advantage.
